A powerful explosion southwest of the Iranian capital Tehran left one dead and injured 20 others on Friday, state media reported.
The explosion, the cause of which is not yet known, occurred in a three-story building in the city of Nasimshahr, located nine miles southwest of the capital Tehran, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported.
The explosion broke out at a battery producing unit in the building, according to Mehr.
Besides the casualties, 30 buildings and 23 vehicles were also damaged in the blast, Mehr reported citing a local official.
