Son of a prominent Yemeni leader was deported outside Egypt on charges of drug trafficking

The Egyptian security authorities have expelled the son of a prominent leader in the legitimate Yemeni government, from Cairo, after he was caught in drug dealing.

Yemeni sources said that the Egyptian security arrested Zaid Saleh Sami yesterday (Monday, June 5, 2021), and he was in possession of narcotic substances with the aim of trafficking them inside Egyptian territory.

Sources explained that the security had found in his possession 26 kilos of khat classified as a drug in Egypt, with the intent of trafficking, and immediately deported him.
