King Salman Meets with Biden in Jeddah

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz met with US President Joe Biden at the al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Friday.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, had welcomed Biden upon his arrival at the palace.

Biden had arrived in Jeddah moments earlier on an official two-day visit at the invitation of King Salman. He flew in from Israel and the Palestinian Territories.

Biden will attend a summit in Jeddah called for by King Salman for the Gulf Cooperation Council leaders. The summit will be attended by Egyptian President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi, Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi.
