German Intelligence Agency Official Held Over Spying For Russia: Prosecutors

A German man working for the country's foreign intelligence agency has been arrested on suspicion of treason for allegedly passing state secrets to Russia, federal prosecutors said Thursday.


The official, an employee of the BND agency named as Carsten L., "transmitted information, that he had obtained in the course of his professional activities, to Russian intelligence services", the prosecutors said in a statement.
