 France denies accusations that it plans to intervene militarily in Niger

France’s foreign minister on Monday denied accusations from Niger’s new junta that Paris is plotting to intervene militarily in Niger.

“It’s wrong,” Catherine Colonna told BFM news channel of the allegations, adding it was still “possible” and “necessary” to restore ousted President Mohamed Bazoum to power.
