Iran records 8,011 new Coronavirus cases, total now over 600,000

Iran recorded 8,011 coronavirus cases and 365 deaths from the virus on Friday, according to the country's Health Ministry spokeswoman on state TV.

The new cases raise the total number of infections in the country over 600,000, to 604,952.

Health Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari made the announcement.

Iran has the highest number of cases in the Middle East.
