Iran Drones Strike Kuwait Airport, Causing Damage and Flight Disruptions

An Iranian drone and missile attack targeted Kuwait International Airport early Wednesday, resulting in injuries and necessitating the diversion of flights. The incident caused significant damage to the airport's Terminal 1 building, according to Kuwait's state news agency, citing the General Civil Aviation Authority.

The report indicated that the attack inflicted "severe damage" upon the airport's primary terminal structure.

Earlier reports from the U.S. military suggested that two Iranian missiles aimed at Kuwait either failed to reach their target or disintegrated during transit. Additionally, three missiles launched toward Bahrain were successfully intercepted by joint U.S. and Bahraini forces.

U.S. Central Command further stated that ballistic missiles launched by Iran toward regional adversaries were unsuccessful in hitting their intended targets. In a retaliatory measure, U.S. forces conducted strikes on Qeshm Island, neutralizing multiple Iranian ballistic missiles and drones following the attempted attacks.
