An 18-year-old woman has been arrested in Santa Ana on suspicion of throwing a Chipotle bowl at a restaurant employee, an incident captured on viral surveillance footage.
The assault occurred on May 12 at a Chipotle located in the 1300 block of West 17th Street. Surveillance video shows the suspect, later identified as Samantha Dominoe Salomon, shouting at the employee before throwing her order at their chest and fleeing the establishment.
The Santa Ana Police Department released the video footage of the incident last week, seeking public assistance in identifying the individual responsible for the aggressive act. Several community members responded to the appeal, leading to Salomon's identification.
Police confirmed that Salomon was arrested on Thursday. The investigation is ongoing.
