Tottenham has reportedly agreed personal terms with Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke, with the Dutch center-back making it clear that Spurs are his only desired destination this summer.
According to Dutch media outlet Voetbal International, the 25-year-old international has finalized contract details with the North London club and instructed his representatives to cease talks with any other suitors. Van Hecke is now waiting for the two clubs to reach an agreement on the transfer fee.
Despite the player's strong preference, Brighton is proving to be a tough negotiator, having already turned down two offers from Tottenham. The Seagulls are reportedly holding out for a fee of approximately €50 million, as Van Hecke enters the final year of his contract.
If a deal is struck, Van Hecke would become Roberto De Zerbi's third signing of the summer transfer window as the manager rebuilds the squad. The defender previously thrived under De Zerbi at Brighton, making him a key target for Tottenham's defensive reinforcements.
