US-Iran Talks in Switzerland Canceled

Talks between the United States and Iran, originally scheduled for Friday at the Burgenstock mountaintop resort in Switzerland, have been canceled, the Swiss foreign ministry announced.

The cancellation follows an overnight statement from a White House spokesperson indicating that U.S. Vice President JD Vance had withdrawn from a planned trip to Switzerland. Vance was slated to meet with Iranian negotiators to commence discussions on implementing an agreement between Tehran and Washington aimed at concluding the ongoing conflict.
