Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has urged BRICS nations to enhance collaboration on strategic mineral resources and present a united front against global challenges, ranging from public health crises like Ebola to the emerging risks associated with artificial intelligence.

Addressing a meeting in India, Wang Yi emphasized the need for BRICS countries to collectively address issues concerning global energy and food security. He specifically highlighted the importance of a unified response to the Ebola epidemic in Africa.

The minister also called for a resolute stance against all forms of terrorism and advocated for opposition to the weaponization of outer space. Concurrently, he stressed the necessity for diligent oversight of the potential risks posed by artificial intelligence.

Speaking at a security forum in New Delhi, Wang Yi articulated that the bloc should champion multilateralism and unequivocally reject unilateralism and protectionism. He stated, "BRICS members need to take the lead in speaking up for justice and delivering fair outcomes, and elevate their standing and role in international affairs."

Furthermore, Wang urged the BRICS nations to support diplomatic engagement and political resolutions as the primary means to resolve international disputes and address volatile global situations.
