Brigadier General Sadeq Duwid, spokesperson for the National Resistance, stated that excuses for failure are endless and that those responsible often deflect blame despite holding complete authority and the means for success.
Duwid elaborated in a post on the platform "X" that individuals in positions of authority, who control the levers of power and enjoy broad local consensus alongside unprecedented regional and international support, should not continue to justify failures by producing more excuses. He characterized this behavior as a trait of "weak individuals."
He called for moving beyond what he described as "crying over spilled milk" and focusing efforts on shaping Yemen's present and future. Duwid emphasized that the national priority at this current stage is the liberation of all territories controlled by the Houthi group, alongside the reconstruction and development of liberated governorates.
Duwid underscored that the current phase necessitates directing efforts toward completing the recovery of occupied lands and advancing development in liberated areas, rather than engaging in reciprocal accusations or rationalizing setbacks.
