Glen Johnson, a former Chelsea defender, has publicly endorsed Kone, highlighting his suitability for the Premier League. Johnson praised the midfielder's robust style, ball-playing ability, and passing range in an interview with The Metro, stating, "He (Kone) has been excellent for France. A top midfielder, strong, physical, can use the ball well, pick a pass well, he is a top player, and to get into the French midfield you must be a good player."
Johnson further elaborated on Kone's potential impact at Chelsea, suggesting, "If Enzo leaves, he can be the perfect replacement for sure. His attributes seem to be suited to the Premier League, so I don’t think he will have any issues getting used to the game at all."
The speculation surrounding Kone comes as Chelsea actively seeks midfield reinforcements. The club recently had a £64 million bid for Bournemouth's Alex Scott rejected, according to BBC Sport, indicating their intent to strengthen that area of the squad.
