Man City Enter Race for PSG Wonderkid Mbaye

Manchester City are reportedly set to rival Aston Villa in the race to sign highly-rated Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye. The 18-year-old prospect, considered one of the summer's top talents, is also attracting interest from clubs across Europe.

Mbaye made several appearances for PSG last season, showcasing impressive potential. However, breaking into the star-studded Parisian attack at such a young age presents a significant challenge, prompting his likely departure.

While Aston Villa has been heavily linked with the Senegalese international, former scout Bryan King has suggested that Manchester City are now also considering a move. King indicated that City might see Mbaye as a potential replacement for Savinho.

"They're talking about Manchester City replacing him [Savinho] with the boy from Paris Saint-Germain," King told Football Insider. "Mbaye. They're saying that Manchester City could bring him in. From what I am told, Manchester City will be favourites."

The report also notes that Mbaye is represented by renowned agent Jorge Mendes. Despite the allure of a move to a powerhouse like Manchester City, King questioned whether it would be the best career move for the teenager if regular playing time is his priority, suggesting a club like Villa or another Champions League contender might offer a more suitable environment for his development.
