Houthi mortar shells kill young man, leave his brother seriously wounded in Yemen's Hodeidah

At least one young man was killed and another wounded on Tuesday night in a mortar shell launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia south the city of Yemen's Hodeidah.

20-year-old Sha’aban Salem Ali was killed and his brother,35, wounded when a mortar shell hit their home in Hays district south of Hodeidah. local sources reported.

The sources said the Houthis launched mortar shells on al-Ma’al neighborhood, causing collateral damage to civilian homes.

The Iran-backed insurgents and pro-government forces exchange accusations of breaching the UN-sponsored Stockholm agreement that was signed in late 2018 when pro-government forces were about to storm the port city of Hodeidah.
