PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Thirteen people are dead, including an unknown number of children, after a fire at Philadelphia Housing Authority apartments in Philadelphia’s Fairmount neighborhood on Wednesday morning, the fire department confirms. The fire broke out at a home that happened in the 800 block of North 23rd Street.
The Philadelphia Fire Department said the call came in around 6:38 a.m. Wednesday. According to authorities, the fire happened inside a home that houses two apartments. Crews got the fire under control by 7:31 a.m.
