Informed sources said that the Houthi group assigned the Houthi leader, Fouad Al-Emad, who is close to Iran, with the duties of Chief of Staff, instead of Mohammed Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari.
Al-Emad is currently assuming the duties of Chief of Staff without a decision to appoint him due to internal disputes between the Houthi leadership. A number of leaders still oppose the appointment of Al-Emad, while others accuse Al-Ghamari of corruption and failure during his tenure.
Al-Emad, who is one of the Houthi leaders linked to Iran and works directly for Mahdi Al-Mashat, has been holding intensive meetings for days with Houthi military figures, especially Hashemite figures from Ibb Governorate, in an attempt to control the joints of the military decision in the Ministry of Defense.
