The transfer of Sarpreet Singh from Bayern Munich to Werder Bremen has fallen through.
Although Bremen had largely agreed the move with Bayern and the 23-year-old New Zealand player, a groin inflammation has led to the newly-promoted Bundesliga side pulling out of a deal.
"We do not have the economic means to sign a player who is not immediately available to us," Bremen official Clemens Fritz told the Deichstube news portal on Sunday.
Singh was loaned out by Bayern last season to second division Jahn Regensburg.
