Italian Prime Minister to arrive in Beirut on Tuesday

NNA - The Italian Embassy in Beirut announced, in a press release on Sunday, the visit to Lebanon of the President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, Prof. Giuseppe Conte, on Tuesday 8 September 2020.

Prime Minister Conte will meet with the President of the Republic, Gen. Michel Aoun, the President of the National Assembly, Nabih Berri, caretaker Prime Minister, Hassan Diab, and Prime Minister designate, Mustafa Adib.

President Conte will also meet representatives from the civil society and visit the blast site and the Italian navy ship San Giusto docked in Beirut port.

A visit will follow to the Italian military field hospital set up in the Lebanese University campus in Hadath where he is expected to address the Italian and Lebanese press around 5:00 pm.
