Fernandes' Home Burgled During Man Utd Loss

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes had his Cheshire home burgled while he was playing in the team's 4-1 Champions League defeat against Como. The incident occurred at his property in Nether Alderley around 8:30 PM on Wednesday evening.

The midfielder was representing Manchester United in Italy when the break-in reportedly took place. According to the Daily Mail, three suspects are believed to have entered the property and fled within minutes. Fortunately, Fernandes' family was reportedly not at home during the incident.

Cheshire Police confirmed they were called to the scene following reports of suspicious individuals in the rear garden. Upon arrival, officers confirmed a burglary had occurred, with several items stolen. Detectives are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area as part of their investigation.

The burglary capped off a difficult evening for Fernandes, who also faced criticism for his post-match comments following the loss. The United captain openly questioned head coach Michael Carrick's tactical approach, stating the team lacked courage and was "not brave enough" under pressure.

Fernandes specifically commented on the coaching staff's decisions regarding pressing and taking risks. Carrick responded by emphasizing that tactical systems require players to actively participate in both attacking and defending phases. This public disagreement adds to the pressure on Carrick, with Manchester United currently on a winless streak.
