President Trump is expected to arrive in New York on Monday afternoon for "political events" at Trump Tower. On Tuesday morning, he will deliver an address to the UN General Assembly, where he is anticipated to highlight his administration's approach to confronting global challenges and emphasize the importance of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
The ongoing six-month-old conflict between the United States and Iran, with no immediate resolution in sight and the risk of regional escalation, looms over the president's engagements. This conflict is likely to be a key topic during a meeting with leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Following this, President Trump is scheduled to hold a reception for the council, which will include his first in-person meeting with Delcy Rodriguez, the interim president of Venezuela, who is supported by Washington.
In addition to international diplomacy, President Trump is slated to meet with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani at Gracie Mansion on Monday to discuss issues pertinent to the city and its residents.
