The Yemeni leader, Ali Al-Sha'abani, submitted his resignation from the General People's Congress party (GPC) saying that he is not joining any political component in Yemen at present.
Al-Sha'abani said in a post on his Facebook page: "I confirm that our battle, as Yemenis, continues against the Houthi terrorist group and the Muslim Brotherhood, until we reach a democratic state where justice, dignity and freedom prevail".
He did not provide a reason for his resignation or further details.
