Families demand Israel approve deal ‘tonight’ to secure release of Gaza hostages

Families of hostages held by Palestinian militant group Hamas in Gaza demanded on Tuesday that the Israeli government approve a deal “tonight” to secure the release of their relatives.

“The families urgently demand the war cabinet approve a deal tonight to bring home all hostages from Gaza,” the Hostages and Missing Families Forum said in a statement, as US President Joe Biden said he believed that an agreement with Hamas militants to free the captives would happen.

The families of the hostages are calling on the Israeli government to reach an agreement that begins with the release of Israeli children in exchange for Palestinian children, Al Arabiya reported, citing Israeli Broadcasting Corporation.
