Russia Court Sentences French Researcher To 3 Years In Prison

A Russian court Monday sentenced French researcher Laurent Vinatier to three years in a penal colony for breaking a law on registering as a "foreign agent".


Judge Natalya Cheprasova at Moscow's Zamoskvoretsky district court read out the verdict, ruling to "find Vinatier guilty.. and set a punishment in the form of three years imprisonment in a penal colony".
