Noni Madueke is reportedly attracting significant interest from European clubs as his role at Arsenal has shifted this season, limiting his Premier League starts.
While Madueke played a key part in Arsenal's title charge last year, his opportunities have reduced. With Bukayo Saka firmly established on the right wing and strong competition across the attacking line, the 24-year-old has largely been a substitute in the league so far. This lack of consistent game time has put him on the radar of clubs across Europe, with the January transfer window potentially opening up possibilities.
According to The Telegraph, clubs involved in the Champions League are monitoring Madueke's situation. Atlético Madrid and Juventus are named as long-term admirers, and other teams could enter the fray if Arsenal considers a loan deal. Madueke has seen limited Premier League minutes but has featured in the Community Shield and Carabao Cup. His reduced playing time has also impacted his place in the England squad, with Thomas Tuchel omitting him from the recent selection.
However, there's no indication that Arsenal plans to let him go. Given the demands of competing across multiple competitions throughout a long season, Mikel Arteta might still rely heavily on Madueke. Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira previously lauded Madueke's ability to exploit defenses, stating on "The Rest Is Football" that there's "not going to find somebody better than Madueke" for making runs in behind defenses.
Vieira's comments highlight Madueke's potential value. While he may not be a regular starter, letting him go could be a risky move for Arsenal, especially during a title defense. Saka cannot play every minute, injuries are a constant threat, and Madueke offers a directness that few other players in the squad possess. A loan might benefit the player if his limited minutes persist, but from Arsenal's perspective, such a move should only be considered if Arteta is confident in managing without him.
The interest from clubs like Atlético Madrid and Juventus is understandable given Madueke's talent. However, whether Arsenal will actually consider parting ways with him remains to be seen.
