Compton Authorities Seek Missing 6-Year-Old Boy Last Seen With Caregiver

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials are requesting public assistance in locating a 6-year-old boy, Saint Young, who was last seen with his caregiver, Franita Sexton, on Monday afternoon in Compton.


Saint Young was last observed around 1 p.m. in the 2300 block of West Corydon Street. He is described as a Black male with black hair and brown eyes, weighing approximately 60 pounds and standing 4 feet tall. At the time of his disappearance, he was reportedly wearing a school uniform consisting of a white shirt and blue shorts.


Franita Sexton, the caregiver, is a 63-year-old Black woman. She has black hair and brown eyes, stands 5 feet 1 inch tall, and weighs 114 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white jacket and blue jeans. Authorities state that Sexton may be traveling in a black 2024 Kia four-door sedan, bearing California license plate number 9LBV962.


Concerns have been raised regarding the well-being of both Saint Young and Franita Sexton. The Sheriff's Department urges anyone with information pertinent to their whereabouts to contact the Compton Station On-Duty Watch Commander at (310) 605-6500.
