Dyson is rolling out its highly anticipated 2026 vacuum collection, adding several new cordless models to its lineup this month. Beyond the already-released PencilVac and Spot+Scrub robot vacuum, the brand has just launched three new cordless vacuums and a variant with a Submarine head, expanding its range even further.
Leading the pack is the Dyson V16 Piston Animal, priced at $980. Dyson touts it as its most powerful cordless vacuum yet, boasting 315 air-watts of suction power driven by a new 900-watt Dyson Hyperdymium motor. It features an innovative "All Floor Cones Sense" cleaner head with conical brush bars that automatically detect floor type changes. This model also includes the Fluffy Optic cleaner head for hard floors and a debris bin designed to compress dust for up to 30 days, with an easier-to-use emptying mechanism. A future self-emptying docking station is also promised for this model.
For those seeking wet cleaning capabilities, the Dyson V16 Piston Animal Submarine variant is available for $1,100. It incorporates a wet roller head similar to the V15 Detect Submarine, but with enhanced hydration control technology and a boost mode for tackling tough stains.
The new Dyson V10 Konical, retailing at $500, marks Dyson's first self-emptying vacuum. Although its accompanying auto-empty Dok station won't be available until August for $150, the vacuum itself offers 150 air-watts of power and the new All Floor Cones cleaner head. Unlike the V16, it doesn't include the "Sense" functionality or the Fluffy Optic head, offering a more minimalist set of attachments but a robust 60-minute run time and HEPA filtration.
Rounding out the new releases is the Dyson V8 Cyclone, an updated version of a popular model, priced at $400. This vacuum promises 30% more suction power and a full hour of run time compared to its predecessor, matching the V10 Konical's 150 air-watts. It features a power button for operation instead of a trigger and comes with fewer attachments, including the older Motorbar Cleaner head. This model will also be compatible with the auto-empty Dok available in August.
With these new models hitting the market and Amazon Prime Day approaching, consumers have options. Whether to invest in the latest technology or wait for potential sales on older Dyson models like the Gen5detect and V15 Detect is a personal choice. While these new vacuums are unlikely to see significant discounts this month, they may be part of fall sale events.
