Liverpool Keen on World Cup Duo: Diomande and Munoz Eyed

Liverpool is reportedly feeling good about landing RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, potentially alongside Osasuna's Victor Munoz, during the ongoing World Cup.

Reports suggest the Reds have jumped ahead of Newcastle United in the race for Munoz, with a medical possibly taking place in the US. This comes as journalist Ben Jacobs indicated Liverpool is still pushing to sign Diomande, who is also representing the Ivory Coast at the World Cup.

Jacobs shared on X, "Understand Liverpool are still working on Yan Diomande in addition to Victor Muñoz and are optimistic. There is competition from PSG, and it is not discounted by suitors that a deal for his signature is closed during the World Cup."

The Merseyside club appears to be seeking significant investment in its attacking lineup. With the departure of Mohamed Salah and an extended injury layoff for Hugo Ekitike, coupled with underwhelming performances from players like Cody Gakpo, Alexander Isak, and Florian Wirtz, Liverpool's need for fresh attacking talent is evident.

The potential signings of Diomande and Munoz would be a major boost for new manager Andoni Iraola. Diomande, despite his youth, is seen as a world-class talent in the making, while Munoz also shows promise for a strong career.

This level of investment in new attacking signings is crucial for Liverpool, and these developing transfer rumors are likely to excite the fanbase.
