Hezbollah's deputy leader, Naim Qassem, stated on Sunday that Israel will not persist in Lebanon and vowed that the group would retaliate against any violation originating from the Israeli side.
Qassem's remarks were issued amidst declarations from Israeli officials suggesting that their forces possess the autonomy to act without restraint in confronting perceived threats within Lebanon.
These sentiments were expressed despite the implementation of an agreed ceasefire that officially took effect on Friday, signaling a precarious de-escalation of hostilities.
