The National Resistance's humanitarian wing has commenced a vital food distribution project in Al-Wazi'iyah district, Taiz Governorate, aimed at supporting the most vulnerable families in the West Coast regions. The initiative is being carried out under the patronage of Lieutenant General Tarek Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and head of the National Resistance's political bureau.
The project, which commenced on Sunday, is generously supported by the Joint Forces Command and supervised by the advanced Saudi Operations Base in Mokha. This endeavor underscores ongoing humanitarian efforts to alleviate the suffering of citizens and assist families impacted by difficult economic and living conditions.
This initiative will provide comprehensive food assistance to thousands of beneficiary families, with a particular focus on individuals with disabilities, orphans, and the most destitute within Al-Wazi'iyah district. These allocations are based on findings from a field survey conducted by the humanitarian cell's teams in coordination with local authorities.
Officials overseeing the project emphasized that this initiative is part of a continuous series of relief and humanitarian programs designed to mitigate the hardships faced by the population and bolster families affected by the prevailing economic challenges.
Ali Ahmed Al-Dharfi, the Director General of Al-Wazi'iyah district, lauded the humanitarian support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He also commended the role of Lieutenant General Tarek Saleh in championing service and humanitarian projects for the district's residents.
Recipients expressed their profound gratitude for this humanitarian gesture, highlighting that the food aid will significantly ease the financial burdens many families contend with, particularly in the current economic climate.
