Vlachodimos Eyes Permanent Sevilla Move Amid Newcastle Exit Talks

Newcastle United goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos is keen on a permanent switch to Sevilla this summer, having spent last season on loan with the Spanish club and expressing his desire not to return to St. James' Park.

The Greek international has not made a single appearance for Newcastle since his arrival in 2024 and sees no future with the Premier League side. A permanent move to Sevilla is reportedly his preferred option, with the player having performed well during his loan spell last year.

Newcastle World reports that Newcastle United is willing to let the 32-year-old shot-stopper go for a fee of £10 million. Despite having a contract until 2028, the club is not under pressure to sell, meaning Sevilla would need to meet the asking price to secure his services.

Vlachodimos is likely eager to finalize his future quickly to focus on his career. Keeping him at Newcastle against his wishes, especially without guaranteed playing time, seems unlikely to benefit either party.

However, Sevilla is reportedly operating with limited funds and might prefer another loan deal. Whether they can afford the £10 million valuation in the coming weeks, given their financial constraints, remains a significant question mark.
