Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated on Saturday that he held a conversation with former U.S. President Donald Trump on July 4th, urging for "American resolve" to contribute to ending the ongoing conflict with Russia, which has now surpassed four years.
President Zelenskiy described the discussion with Mr. Trump as "very good," during which they addressed the current situation along the front lines of the war.
"There is a real prospect to end this war and American resolve will have a crucial meaning," Mr. Zelenskiy remarked, emphasizing the potential impact of U.S. support.
According to Mr. Zelenskiy, he and Mr. Trump agreed to continue their dialogue at the upcoming NATO summit scheduled for next week in Turkey.
