West Ham United are reportedly exploring a loan deal for Arsenal's promising young defender, Jaden Dixon.
The 19-year-old joined the Gunners from Stoke City last year and has so far made just one senior appearance for Mikel Arteta's squad, coming off the bench in an FA Cup tie against Mansfield Town.
Dixon, who can play at both centre-back and right-back, could provide valuable depth for West Ham as they aim for promotion back to the Premier League following their relegation in May.
A loan spell at the London Stadium could offer Dixon crucial first-team experience, which might be limited for him at the Emirates Stadium currently. This move could potentially benefit Arsenal by facilitating negotiations for defender Konstantinos Mavropanos, whom Arsenal are reportedly interested in to bolster their defensive options.
If West Ham shows a strong interest in Dixon, it could potentially be leveraged by Arsenal in discussions for Mavropanos. However, Arsenal's transfer strategy may also depend on their assessment of defensive cover needs following William Saliba's injury during the World Cup.
