The Switzerland international was notably absent from Mönchengladbach's friendly match against Aston Villa, signaling that the transfer is on the verge of completion. Top German transfer insider Florian Plettenberg has detailed the deal, specifying a €10 million price tag and a 15% sell-on clause for his current club.
Elvedi, a veteran with 364 appearances for Mönchengladbach, is said to be seeking a new challenge. The relatively low transfer fee is attributed to his contract situation, with only one year remaining on his current deal.
