Nuno Eyes West Ham Exit for Füllkrug & Todibo

West Ham United boss Nuno Espírito Santo is reportedly ready to offload attackers Niclas Füllkrug and defender Jean-Clair Todibo as part of a squad shake-up following relegation. The club is aiming to rebuild with players suited for an immediate promotion push back to the Championship.

Both Füllkrug and Todibo arrived with significant expectations but have struggled to consistently deliver for the Hammers. Their potential departures could also help trim the wage bill and free up funds for new signings.

According to the Daily Mail, Nuno wants solutions for both players before the transfer window slams shut. Füllkrug, who joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2024, has been hampered by injuries and spent the latter half of last season on loan at AC Milan. His situation appears particularly dire, as he was not assigned a squad number for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.

Todibo's situation is slightly different. While still part of the first-team setup, West Ham is open to listening to offers as they manage costs after their drop from the Premier League. Reports from The Guardian last month indicated that Todibo was one of several valuable players expected to draw interest during the team's rebuild.

The departures of these players, despite the club's initial investments, could help reshape the team. Todibo was envisioned as a defensive cornerstone, and Füllkrug as an experienced striker. Selling Todibo could potentially recoup significant funds due to his age and previous European interest. Füllkrug, however, at 33 and with a disappointing tenure, might require the club to accept a minimal fee just to remove his wages from the books. These are tough decisions necessitated by relegation as West Ham continues its squad overhaul.
