Nottingham Forest is reportedly in "advanced talks" to sign Crystal Palace right-back Daniel Munoz for a fee potentially reaching £25 million.
The move comes as part of a significant summer overhaul at Forest, with newly appointed coach Oliver Glasner, formerly of Palace, said to be keen on bringing Munoz, a player he knows well, to the City Ground.
Munoz has been a key player for Crystal Palace, featuring in 109 matches and was part of the squad that secured the FA Cup and the Europa Conference League under Glasner's management. An agreement between the clubs is believed to be nearing completion as the transfer deadline approaches.
While Palace would prefer to keep the 30-year-old, his desire to move and the remaining two years on his contract make this a financially sensible time for the club to consider a transfer.
Nottingham Forest has a substantial transfer budget this summer, boosted by the sale of Eliot Anderson. Despite recent results, the team appears poised for a stronger season under Glasner, aiming for European contention rather than battling relegation.
