Liverpool and Everton Eye Stuttgart Star Jamie Leweling

Liverpool and rivals Everton are reportedly interested in signing VfB Stuttgart's German international winger, Jamie Leweling, as the transfer window nears its close.

According to Sky Germany, both Premier League clubs are monitoring the 25-year-old attacker. Leweling, who has a contract with Stuttgart until 2029, is expected to command a significant transfer fee. Last season, he was a standout performer for Stuttgart, notching up 11 goals and 12 assists across all competitions.

Leweling primarily plays on the right wing, a position where Liverpool are known to be seeking reinforcements following Mohamed Salah's departure. While Liverpool have brought in Victor Muñoz and Bradley Barcola, both are more comfortable on the left flank. Leweling could offer a direct and high-quality solution for Liverpool's right-wing needs, and the club reportedly has the financial means to meet Stuttgart's asking price.

However, with the transfer deadline fast approaching, securing a deal for Leweling could prove challenging. Stuttgart is reportedly reluctant to let him go easily, and negotiating a transfer on deadline day is often a complex process.

Meanwhile, Everton are also keeping a close watch on Leweling's situation. With Iliman Ndiaye reportedly heading to Manchester City, Everton are in the market for a replacement, and Leweling could be an ideal fit for their squad. It remains to be seen if either club will make a formal offer for the German international before the window slams shut.
