The National Resistance has announced a significant reorganization of its forces and a bolstering of military readiness, asserting that recent developments on the West Coast will not conclude the confrontation with the Iran-backed Houthi militia but rather usher in a new phase of conflict.
Abdulnasser Al-Mamlouh, Director of Military Media for the National Resistance, stated in remarks to Saudi newspaper 'Okaz that the Resistance, along with various Yemeni Army formations, has restructured its ranks and is prepared for a decisive battle. He emphasized that the forces have not lost the fight despite recent advancements by the Houthis.
Al-Mamlouh characterized the clashes on the West Coast as having surpassed the scope of conventional Yemeni warfare, pointing to the involvement of Iran's Revolutionary Guard and its allies in supporting and directing Houthi operations, particularly concerning ballistic missiles and drones.
He elaborated that the engagements, which lasted approximately one month, involved intensive use of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. Al-Mamlouh affirmed that the Resistance inflicted significant human and material losses on the Houthis, concurrent with casualties among its own forces.
The National Resistance, as an integral part of the Yemeni Army, remains committed to its military and national objectives. It will not retreat from confronting the Houthis and restoring state institutions, viewing the upcoming period as requiring enhanced organization and preparedness. Al-Mamlouh added that the Resistance maintains its cohesion and unity around its leadership, preparing to continue the fight until the state is reclaimed and Houthi control is ended, with ongoing support from the Saudi-led Arab Coalition.
