Documents from an official meeting in Taiz revealed a number of dangerous decisions that will be imposed during the coming period by the Yemen's Islah military authority in Taiz.
The meeting, which took place last Tuesday, headed by the commanders of the axis.
According to the introduction to the record, the “exceptional and emergency” meeting came to discuss “the recent events taking place in Taiz, represented by the leaders of the military brigades and the wounded closing the headquarters of the governorate’s office, the leadership of the axis, and all the offices and institutions of the local authority.”
Instead of condemning these actions, the report provided justifications for them by stopping the treatment of the wounded, delaying the payment of army salaries and cutting off their nutrition, to reach the justification for taking the decisions contained in the report as “in order to prevent the situation from getting worse and out of control.”
The beginning of these decisions was to rearrange the status of the open account in the central bank for the axis so that the exchange from this account is under the signature of both the axis commander and the head of the axis operations, which means excluding the signature of the governor, with the formation of a supervisory and control committee on the account headed by the advisor to the axis commander (the military commander for the Brotherhood in Taiz).
The report refuted the resources of this account by imposing levies on citizens, obligating the Director General of the Immigration and Passports Authority to raise the fees for issuing the passport from 3,500 riyals to 7,000 thousand riyals and supplying it to the account.
