Iran-backed Houthis seize thousands of citizens' lands in Yemen's Sanaa

The Iran-backed Houthis had seized thousands of citizens' lands in Bani Matar district, west of the Yemeni capital, Sana'a. Local sources said.

The sources added that the commander of the so-called military committee of the Houthi militia Abu Haider Jahaf, got his hands on thousands of lands owned by tribes after they took the properties of hundreds of citizens in the capital, under the pretext that they were endowment lands or facilities.

According to the sources, Jahaf has recently spread over properties in the village of Beit Al-Ma'aqali and the neighboring villages in the district of Bani Matar, as well as in the Beit Adhran area, in addition to other large areas in Bani Matar on the pretext that they are endowments or state property.

The Houthis had seize lands in the areas of (Beit Raddam, Musayib, Al-Masajid, Qurman, Subaha, and Sahman). The sources said.
