National Resistance Honors Martyrs, Cares for Wounded During Eid al-Adha

During the Eid al-Adha holiday, the National Resistance in the former Western Front underscored its combat readiness, commitment to wounded fighters, and dedication to honoring fallen heroes. This initiative contrasts with the Houthi militia's efforts to exploit religious occasions for sectarian propaganda.

The National Resistance leadership, under the command of Major General Tarek Saleh, utilized the Eid al-Adha period to reinforce values of loyalty to martyrs, care for the wounded, and foster solidarity among fighters. These actions signal a continued focus on the primary objective: restoring the state and defeating the Iranian-backed Houthi project.

Visits and activities undertaken by National Resistance leaders throughout the Eid days highlighted the high priority placed on maintaining fighter morale and internal cohesion among various military formations. This emphasis also serves to cultivate a culture of remembrance and gratitude for the sacrifices of martyrs and the wounded, who are considered the backbone of the national struggle against the Houthi insurgency.

Major General Mohammed Abdullah Al-Qousi, Advisor to the Commander of the National Resistance and Head of Training and Guidance, laid a wreath at the martyrs' shrine in Mokha. This symbolic act evoked the sacrifices of fighters lost on various fronts against the Houthi militia. Al-Qousi led a ceremonial reading of the Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs, reaffirming that their blood would not be shed in vain and would fuel the battle to restore the state and end the Houthi coup. He asserted that the martyrs' heroism is now integrated into training programs and resonates deeply with fighters across all fronts.

The focus on martyrs during national and religious holidays demonstrates the National Resistance's strategic intent to solidify the moral and ideological dimensions of the state restoration campaign, in direct opposition to the Houthi narrative, which relies on sectarian mobilization and glorification of lineage and the Imamate project. The messages conveyed by National Resistance leaders during their visits and events clearly reaffirmed that the core mission remains the defeat of the Houthi coup, the liberation of Sana'a, and the termination of Iranian influence, signaling an unwavering commitment to confrontation as the sole path to ending the coup and reclaiming state institutions.

Concurrent with the symbolic commemoration of martyrs, the welfare of the wounded emerged as a key focus of the National Resistance's Eid activities. Military and security leaders conducted Eid visits to wounded fighters in Mokha, including those at the Saudi Hospital, 2 December Hospital, and the Physical Therapy Center. These visits, attended by prominent figures such as Brigadier General Farouk Al-Khoulani and Brigadier General Najib Warq, Director of Hodeidah Governorate Security, conveyed the leadership's greetings and stressed Major General Tarek Saleh's personal attention to the wounded and his continuous monitoring of their health status. Such visits are particularly significant amidst criticism leveled at other military and governmental entities for neglecting wounded combatants.

Eid visits also extended to wounded fighters receiving treatment in Egypt. A delegation, led by Brigadier General Sadeq Duwayd and Brigadier General Sadeq Al-Akwa', conveyed the National Resistance commander's Eid greetings and reiterated the commitment to their ongoing care. The delegation emphasized that the wounded are a source of pride and inspiration for the National Resistance and armed forces, aiming to bolster their morale and connection to the national cause.

The wounded expressed their gratitude for the leadership's attention and continuous follow-up, affirming their eagerness to return to the front lines. Through these multifaceted efforts, the National Resistance aims to project an integrated image of military preparedness, humanitarian care, and organizational cohesion. This approach seeks to maintain internal unity and boost fighter morale amidst a period of military stalemate on many fronts. Observers note that these activities reflect the National Resistance leadership's understanding of the critical role of morale in a protracted and complex conflict, which extends beyond military engagement to encompass a battle of consciousness, loyalty, and the preservation of anti-Houthi forces.

In the prevailing state of undeclared peace and non-war, the National Resistance remains committed to keeping the primary conflict at the forefront of its discourse and field operations. This includes honoring martyrs, caring for the wounded, and strengthening bonds among fighters, all of which are integral to a prolonged struggle envisioned to culminate only in the restoration of the state and the end of the Houthi coup.
