The tribes of Bani Al-Harith, affiliated to the Yemen's Sana'a Governorate, demanded, on Thursday, the imprisonment of the leader of the Iran-backed Houthis, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, like their sheikhs who were held by the latter in the central prison.
Ali Al-Houthi, rushed Thursday to the tribal forum called by the sheikhs of Bani al-Harith, and he arbitrated tribally, the tribes of Bani al-Harith, over his illegal imprisonment of eight of their sheikhs under the pretext of trying to pressure two families to solve a killing case. Tribal sources said.
According to the sources, Al-Houthi released the eight detained sheikhs of Bani al-Harith, late on Wednesday, with the aim of absorbing the anger of the tribesmen, after a number of their sheikhs called for a response to the Houthi militia's kidnapping of 8 tribal sheikhs and their transfer to the central prison in the capital, Sana'a.
