Yemen: Iran funds Houthis to build constructions in an archaeological site

The Houthis have embarked on building constructions at the historical site of Haran in Dhamar Governorate, funded by Iran, which may expose it to obliteration and destruction in light of their continued absurd operations on archaeological sites and monuments.

Local sources in Dhamar told Khabar Agency that the Houthis have started building constructions in the archaeological site of Haran and its surroundings, which may cause it to be obliterated and destroyed.

A circulating painting shows what it called the “Shalal Al-Kawthar” project at the archaeological site of Haran which is being implemented by the Iranian embassy in Yemen and funded by the Iranian Al-Kawthar Organization.

Observers considered it a cover for the works and excavations carried out by the antiquities smuggling gangs, supported by the Houthi leaders, which includes Iranian experts.
