Heavy rain kills 12 in Yemen

Heavy rain that lashed Yemen's Taiz Governorate has left 12 people dead and 8 unaccounted for over the past two days, local authorities said on Thursday.

Another eight people were injured.

Heavy rainfall has continued for a week in the west and south of the country. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations has warned of the risks of flooding on Wednesday.
