Houthi member rapes a Yemeni citizen and kills an African refugee

The Iran-backed Houthis executed an African refugee in Rada’a district of Al-Baydha governorate, central Yemen, according to the ISIS method, after he accused a Houthi supervisor of a raping a Yemeni citizen in the district.

Local sources in Rada'a district said that Abu Ali Al-Abbasi (supervisor of groups affiliated with the Houthis) raped, on Sunday, July 9, 2023, Zayed Youssef Al-Omari from Ibb Governorate, who was one of his affiliates, and then killed him with cold blood.

The sources said that Al-Abbasi ordered the Houthi elements he supervises to accuse an Ethiopian expatriate of rape, tied him up, and then took him to a public square, and fired a barrage of bullets at him and shot him dead in a mockery of the tribe and religion, and in violation of international law.

Eyewitnesses said that Ali al-Abbasi committed many sexual violations against the people of Rada’a district, in addition to the looting and royalties he imposed on merchants and travelers.

Citizens called on international human rights organizations to condemn the Houthis' murder of a foreigner, to consider the manner of the murdered as a terrorist act, and to classify it as a terrorist organization that practices terrorism on the ground.
