Houthi militant breaks into a school in Yemen's Taiz and brutally murders a student in front of his classmates

A Houthi militant stormed a school in the Sharaab district in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen, and committed a murder by slaughtering a child inside the school grounds in front of his classmates, in a crime that shook the entire province.

Local sources told Khabar Agency that a Houthi armed man broke into the Wadi Al-Haid school in the Al-Rayna area, which is part of the Sharaab Al-Ronah district, and slaughtered the child, Arslan Mohammed Abdo Saeed, inside the school grounds in front of his classmates.

It was reported that prior to the slaughter, the child student was physically assaulted without warning or clear motives.

The sources mentioned that the child was taken to a hospital in an attempt to save his life, but he passed away before got there.

The brutal incident caused fear and panic among the student community. Human rights activists considered it an example of the violence and terrorism practiced by the Houthis.

Human rights activists called on local and international human rights organizations and UN to take a serious stance against Houthi crimes.
