Iran-backed Houthis spend more than YR11 million on a sectarian course

An official document revealed that the Iran-backed Houthis have spent millions of riyals on lectures for the leader of the militias in one province, at a time when they refuse to pay employees' salaries under the pretext of a lack of resources.

The document, issued by the Office of the General Administration for Research and Training in Al-Baydha province, stated that the cultural course held for deputy governors, executive office directors, and directors of all directorates throughout the year amounted to YR11 million.

This amount, and more, is reportedly spent on similar sectarian courses in all provinces under Houthi control, while they refuse to pay teachers' salaries or invest in education, despite the huge funds they receive from the Teacher Support Fund.

The Houthis lavishly spend on sectarian courses and summer camps without any financial problems, while they claim a lack of resources and sufficient funds to pay teachers' salaries.
