Military deployment in Yemen's Sanaa and Ibb due to fear of a popular revolution against Houthis

The Houthi uprising against the September 26th revolution caused widespread popular anger and significant disputes within the Houthi factions, which could lead to internal divisions and a victory for the people and the September revolution.

Informed sources said that internal Houthi disputes have escalated unprecedentedly, with mutual accusations.

The Iran-backed faction accuses the other factions of betraying the militia leader, while the other factions accuse them of not aligning with the will of the people and violating agreements regarding the preservation of the republican system.

The sources added that the disputes have reached the point of threatening physical elimination for those who support joining the protests and raising Yemeni flags.

They also mentioned that the militia have prepared plans to fabricate charges against a number of leaders in order to imprison them and seize their properties, and even eliminate others.

The sources confirmed that, in conjunction with the disputes among Houthi leaders, the militia have implemented widespread military deployment in anticipation of a popular revolution.

They emphasized that the group is experiencing an unprecedented state of fear of its potential collapse due to the eruption of popular anger and ongoing street unrest, accompanied by defections from high-ranking leaders.

In the province of Ibb, the militia have expanded their armed presence since Thursday, September 28th, 2023, and have increased in the past two days in various neighborhoods and districts, following military reinforcements from Dhamar province and areas under the control of the militia in Taiz.
