Revealed: Houthi militia loot $ 25 million from the General Aviation Authority's revenues

An informed source in the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology in Sanaa revealed that the pro-Iranian Houthi militia looted all of the Authority's resources, amounting to $ 25 million, including the salaries of employees.

The source, who preferred not to reveal himself, as he was not authorized to speak to the media, said that the leader of Houthis had directed the establishment of a center to treat the wounded elements at the expense of the Authority, and the exploitation of its resources, together with the Ministry of Transport, for the wounded leaders who are from only Saada.

The source explained that the authority’s accounts in Sana’a obtained about $ 25 million from airports in the liberated areas, which facilitated the Houthi’s control over all these funds and plundered them.

The source confirmed that the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance in Sanaa (Al Washali) has seized $ 16 million after the Authority’s accounts arrived from the liberated areas, which is the last batch of funds from the General Aviation Authority’s revenues from the liberated areas, which amounted to more than a quarter of a billion dollars since The group stormed the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, and took control of the country's resources.
