How do Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen train "Al Zainabiyat"?

Informed sources said that the Iran-backed Houthis have been working extensively during the recent period to train "Zainabiyat" women for raids and incursions into Yemeni homes, political activists, and Houthi leaders who reject the directives of Iranian Ambassador Hassan Erloo.

The sources revealed, that the militia sent on (Saturday 7 November 2020) two buses full of women to the Rima Humid camp in Sanhan District in Sana'a Governorate, for the purpose of training and incursions.

The source explained that, as soon as the women entered the camp, camp officials began to train "Zainabiyat" on how to storm homes and commercial companies, indicating that the militia is preparing a large operation to storm the homes of citizens and opponents of the Houthi militia, especially those who reject the presence of the Iranian military ruler (Hassan Erloo) in the country.

During the recent period, major disputes erupted between the Houthi factions, with the aim of controlling and influencing, and it reached assassinations, the last of which was the Houthi leader, Hassan Zaid.

UN-backed investigators have found evidence that rebels in Yemen recruited nearly three dozen teenage girls – some said to be survivors of sexual violence – as spies, medics, guards and members of an all-female force.

“The group also received credible reports regarding Houthi recruitment of 34 girls [ages 13-17] between June 2015 and June 2020 for use as spies, recruiters of other children, guards, medics, and members of the Zainabiyat,” the report said, referring to the female force created by the rebels – an unusual phenomenon in a conservative society such as Yemen.

“Twelve of these girls allegedly survived sexual violence and/or a forced and early marriage directly linked to their recruitment,” it said.
